Nomad is a battery-powered tankless diving system that floats on the surface like a buoy and delivers you compressed air through a hose as you breathe underwater, to a depth of 9 metres. Battery run time is typically about 45-60 minutes and spare batteries can be swapped in seconds for extra dive time.

Nomad is for experienced divers who want the convenience and simplicity of 'Nemo' but the depth performance for exploring deeper waters, reefs, wrecks & more. For beginners we recommend Nemo.

BEST FOR EXPERIENCED DIVERS

Whether you're diving Nemo or Nomad, make sure you take the BLU3 Online Dive Training Course before diving. With a maximum depth of 9 metres underwater, Nomad is best suited for experienced divers.

We strongly recommend diving with a backup air supply such as Spare Air (sold seperately) and getting SCUBA certified to further your diving skills.

Compared to traditional scuba set ups, the Nomad Tankless Dive System provides an incredibly powerful, portable package that is easy to store and travel with inside the included backpack. This makes getting to those secluded coves or remote swimming holes significantly easier, and recharging is as simple as plugging into any standard 240v outlet.

THE SMART REG™

What allows Nomad to be so compact, energy-efficient, and responsive is our patented Smart Reg™ – the first of its kind! Here’s how it works: A silicone diaphragm inside the Smart Reg™ moves when the diver breathes. A waterproofed sensor measures the diaphragm movement – it then sends an electronic signal which triggers the compressor to pump air at exactly the time and speed that the diver is inhaling.

DRY FLOAT BAG

The Dry Bag Float provides buoyancy, visibility, and waterproof storage for dry items. It has two air reservoirs that can be inflated by mouth with ease to provide 44 lb of buoyancy. It’s bright color will help notify surrounding boaters of your location. Store dry items inside the waterproof compartment while you enjoy your dive with Nomad.

THE BLU3 BACKPACK

Take Nomad with you to any dive spots here in Australia, or around the world with the BLU3 Backpack, designed specifically to make carrying Nomad and the rest of your gear as easy as possible.

This V2 BLU3 Backpack holds everything required for using your Nomad, and can also accommodate your fins externally (fins for illustrations purposes only).

THE BATTERY PACK

Nomad is powered by a custom lithium-ion battery pack that is swappable and rechargeable. The pack and connector are IP67-rated to handle saltwater environments. It’s 144 Wh, so it is allowed in carry-on luggage on most airlines! A charge-level indicator is located right on the battery itself so that you can always check your battery level. Be sure to grab a few extra packs so that you can dive all day long!

THE COMPRESSOR

With deeper depths, higher pressure and flow rates are required for diving. This custom design by BLU3 is made to fit this application. For example; even if you were to accidentally get saltwater inside your pump, no damage will be done! Just rinse freshwater through. The flotation shell is rotomolded from hard, durable plastic and filled with foam so that it’s unsinkable. Although, you should use the Dry Bag Float whenever you dive for additional buoyancy, stability, and visibility.

THE AIR HOSE

Nomad’s 12 metre air hose is the perfect balance of weight, flexibility, and durability. The coils prevent the hose from kinking and make it super easy to handle. Bungee the hose up for easy storage. (The air hose is longer than max depth to allow for more scope, making Nomad easier to tow while diving at max depth).

The buoyancy of the hose allows excess to float on the surface so that it stays clear of you, the marine environment, and other divers underwater.

With a depth of up to 9m Nomad is best suited to more advanced divers wanting to explore deeper reefs, wrecks or search for underwater treasures a little further out.

45-60 MINUTE DIVE TIME

Each Nomad Battery offers up to 45-60 minutes of dive time on a full charge depending on the users dive depth and breathing rate underwater.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY POWER

Recharging is as simple as plugging the battery & charger into any standard 240v outlet, or via an inverter in the car, boat or caravan! (Inverter not included).

LIGHT AND PORTABLE

Lighter than a scuba gear, the entire Nomad unit weighs only 10kg including a battery and charger in its own supplied backpack so you can get to any dive spot.
