THE 10×5″ NOX COIL

When you need to manoeuvre in tight spots and metal detect in trash infested areas, this little 10x5" Coiltek Coil offers superior sensitivity and pinpointing ability.

In the water or at the beach, the 10x5" Coil also provides greatly reduced drag in the water compared to larger coils!

Elliptical shaped coils have proven to be a very popular choice on VLF metal detectors like the Equinox Series for these reasons!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHICH COILTEK NOX COIL IS BEST FOR BEACH METAL DETECTING?

Each of the four Coiltek NOX coils will have their own unique advantages for Australian beach hunting.

If you are swinging over wet salty sand, or underwater then the 14×9″ or 10x5" NOX Coiltek coils will be your best bet in these saltwater conditions.

Owing to their size, they're less prone to instability caused by saltwater (which is conductive like metal), plus the smaller size means less drag for an easier swing.

For the most depth, coverage and stable performance on the dry sand we recommend the Coiltek 15" or 18" Round Coils.

WHICH COILTEK NOX COIL IS BEST FOR GOLD PROSPECTING?

All four Coiltek NOX coils will be able to find gold. However considering most gold is quite small, the Coiltek 10×5″ NOX coil will be the best suited for this type of metal detecting.

When a VLF detector coil is smaller, it can more easily sniff out the gold in comparison to how much naturally occuring ground metals are also being detected, making them sensitive to even the smallest nuggets!

It also has the smallest footprint of the four Coiltek NOX coils which means will may not be as affected by ground mineralisation and will therefore run smoother in the Australian goldfields.

FOR COIL & RELIC HUNTING, WHICH COILTEK NOX COIL IS BEST?

When coin and relic hunting in Aussie parks or the bush, all four of Coiltek's Nox Coils have their own unique advantages depending on the conditions.

For some areas where the ground is densely packed with trash and debris, or there are many obstacles like rocks and bushes, you'll be best served with either the 10x5" or the 14x9" Coiltek Equinox 'NOX' Coils. They're also more sensitive to very small targets.

In areas where buried targets are more spread out and you're aiming for the maximum depth, the 15" or the monster 18" Coiltek Coils are great options for your Equinox.

ARE THE COILTEK NOX COILS FULLY WATERPROOF AND SUBMERSIBLE?

Yes! All of the NOX coils made by Coiltek are fully submersible to the same depth of your Equinox model.

The Equinox 600 & 800 are fully submersible to 3 metres and the Xterra Pro, Equinox 700 & 900 are fully submersible to 5 metres.

This means your Coiltek Nox Coil is fully waterproof down to 5 meters!

ARE THE COILTEK NOX COILS FULLY APPROVED BY MINELAB?

Yes, all of the NOX coils are fully approved by Minelab. Simply plug in to your Minelab Equinox or X-Terra Pro, switch on and start detecting. Easy!
